Lichfield Life is a community photography project. lichfieldlife.co.uk is a small static website that points visitors to our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts, and lets people get in touch about being featured. This page describes how the site handles your information.
What this site collects directly
You can browse this site without giving us anything. We do not require you to create an account or log in, we do not run our own analytics, and we do not set our own cookies.
Server logs
Our web host may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). These are kept by the host for normal operational and security purposes.
Google Fonts
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Loading these fonts transmits your IP address and browser information to Google. See Google's privacy policy.
The Contribute form
The Contribute page has a form asking for your name, email, and a few short questions about your creative work or business and your relationship with Lichfield (your hobby or business, website, Instagram, why you're in Lichfield, and a few thoughts on the place itself).
This site is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms on our behalf. We receive each submission as an email and can view it in the Netlify dashboard. See Netlify's privacy policy.
The form ends with a consent checkbox:
"I agree to Lichfield Life using this information to feature my business on Lichfield Life social media and lichfieldlife.co.uk."
Submitting the form with that box ticked is what gives us permission to use your responses. You do not have to submit the form to use the rest of the site.
How we use what you send us
If you submit the Contribute form, we will use the information to:
- Contact you about a possible feature;
- Write a feature about you on our social media accounts and on lichfieldlife.co.uk.
We will not sell your information or share it with anyone outside of preparing and publishing your feature.
Removing a feature or your data
If we have featured you and you would like the feature taken down, or you would like to see or delete the information we hold about you, email info@lichfieldlife.co.uk and we will action your request.
Children
The Contribute form is intended for adults running creative work, businesses or community organisations. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we hold information about a child, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. Substantive changes will be posted here.
